Heads up: these bags are past the printed "best by" date, so they're 20% off.
A "best by" date is the maker's estimate of peak freshness, not a safety or expiration date. You Gotta Fry Dat! is a dry mix of flour and seasoning. Kept sealed and dry, it holds up well past that date. The main change over time is that the seasoning gets a little milder.
These are still in their original sealed bags. When you open one, give it a quick look and smell: it should smell like seasoned flour. As with any flour product, if it ever smells sour, musty, or stale, or shows moisture or clumping, don't use it and let us know. After opening, fold it shut tight and keep it cool and dry.
Seasoned crunch in one bag. You Gotta Fry Dat! is Ron and Jerry's Creole seafood breading — the flavor and the crust together, so there's nothing else to mix.
We asked Ron what we should do with our leftover Halloween candy. He said "You gotta fry dat!" I asked, "Ron, is there anything you won't fry?" He said, "My cold beer!" Dat Ron, he smart sometimes. Must be the You Gotta Fry Dat!
